The Bergische WanderBus (lit. “Hiking Bus”) runs every year between March and November on weekends and public holidays between Odenthal and Wermelskirchen. You can take the bus to reach the start of a long-distance hike (e.g. along the Eifgenbachweg) and have the reassurance of a simple return trip. The Bergische WanderBus is designated as route 267 and is part of the service offered by the Rhine-Sieg Transport Association (VRS). 

The Bergische FahrradBus (Cycling Bus) shuttles between Leverkusen-Opladen and Marienheide along the Balkantrasse  and the Bergische panoramic cycle routes. A second service runs between Bergisch Gladbach and Burscheid (route 430). Both bus services can, of course, also be used by passengers without a bicycle. They offer great connections to the hiking trails of the Bergisches Wanderland, for example, so you can also use the bus to reach the start of a hike. Buses run on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays between March and November. The Bergisches FahrradBus is fully accessible. Reservations are not accepted for these bus services.
