Museums and exhibitions

Historical farmhouses, blacksmith's hammers, mine cars, paper, railways and dolls are just a few examples of what you can experience and explore in museums in the Bergisches Land. There is great variety here for all weathers and all ages: if the weather is good, you can learn about the lives of farmers in the last few centuries in the open-air museum, experience traditional ways of doing business and customs, or take a ride on an old steam locomotive through the Wiehl Valley. In rainy weather, you can attend a historical school lesson, make your own paper or learn a great deal about energy production.

“There are regular activities to take part in and explore in every museum!”
