Blockhaus in Reichshof

Hiking with a fantastic view - that's the promise of numerous hiking trails and cycle tours around Eckenhagen and Hespert up to the village of Blockhaus, which is around 500 metres above sea level. For example, the 8th stage of the Bergischer Panoramasteig or the numerous circular hiking trails in the Silberkuhle and Puhlbruch hiking area as well as the "Tour de Eckenhagen" and "Tour de Reichshof" of the Schwalbe Cycle Park. A varied hiking area with deep forests, charming valley meadows, juniper heaths and cosy villages, where you will find an intact native flora and fauna. Reichshof's restaurateurs offer refreshment stops with traditional Bergisch cuisine in the surrounding villages or directly at the log cabin (Panoramahütte am Blockhaus). On clear days, you can enjoy a view as far as the Siebengebirge and the Eifel from here (view direction: south-west).

In winter, winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy everything from toboggan runs to cross-country ski trails. The Blockhaus-Belmicke cross-country skiing area offers a wide range of options for almost every level of ability. The trail in the village of Blockhaus is suitable for beginners, while the 15 km long long-distance trail is a real challenge for advanced cross-country skiers. Each of the designated cross-country trails offers wonderful views and distant vistas over the Oberberg region. For those who like it a little faster, the downhill slopes with T-bar lifts, all approx. 200 metres long, in Blockhaus and Hahn are ideal.
