Short facts

  • Wuppertal

CROSS SEVEN BRIDGES – BY TROLLEY It was once used to take trackmen and level-crossing attendants to work. Today, you can use it to explore nature in a fun and active way: We are of course talking about the trolley.

Experience Wuppertal in a whole new way – a “train ride” of an altogether different kind

If you are interested in exploring the disused section of railway in the Wupper valley between Radevormwald-Wilhelmstal and Wuppertal-Beyenburg using muscle power, you can book a trolley tour from April to October with Verein Wuppertrail e.V. The gently ascending route, which is a good eight kilometres long and crosses seven bridges, offers numerous views of the river Wupper and the picturesque towns along its banks. Groups are accompanied by a guide, ride along the tracks in several trolley cars one after the other and simply let the wind blow through their hair.
